Scarlet Gomez is a queer Dominican Bronx-based poet, writer, zine-maker, and founder of Poetry House. She's had several short stories and poems published in literary journals such as Persephone’s Daughters, Promethean Magazine, Crabs Fat Magazine, Philadelphia Stories, The A3 Review, Deadass Tho.NYC, and Writer’s HQ.


She received the Esther Unger Poetry Prize from the City College of New York in 2016. Her most recent and notable features include Dreamer Monarch: Legacy Awaken (Brooklyn, March 2023), Sage Center Brooklyn: Stonewall House (Brooklyn, April 2023), Safe House: A Mental Health Awareness Event (Brooklyn, May 2023 and June 2023), There's A Lot to Unpack Here (Brooklyn, June 2023), The Nuyorican Poets Cafe (LES, August 2023), Inwood Film Festival (August 2023), and Art in the Basin (Bronx, November 2023, and April 2024).
